Puratone began in 1973 as a small feed retailer and quickly became a major animal nutrition supplier within Manitoba. Since then, the company has grown into a major player in the pork sector, with 50,000 breeding sows or three per cent of the Canadian sow base, in its herds.
Puratone’s operations cover southern Manitoba and into the U.S. northern Great Plains. We have more than 40 farms dedicated to hog production, three feed mills producing approximately 270,000 tonnes of feed annually and other business interests directly related to agriculture.

Puratone livestock feeds are the most efficient and economical rations available. We use them in our own farms and share our knowledge and expertise with our farmer-customers.
Our feed rations help these farms flourish. As a result, this business arrangement contributes to our success as customers return to do more business with us.
Our animal nutrition products also come with FeedAssure™ certification from the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada, which ensures our mills operate in compliance with rigorous food safety standards. |
