A farmer can choose to operate independently, while purchasing supplies such as swine genetics, feed (or both) from Puratone and receiving the benefits of Puratone’s technical expertise.
He or she can also choose to make marketing arrangements through Puratone and gain the value of the company’s established relationship with numerous packers.
A producer can also enter into an arrangement with Puratone to raise hogs on a contract basis while the company retains ownership of the animals.
